The Zombie Shoes Arrived

My girls and I are loving online shopping right now. The week between Christmas and New Year, it still felt like Christmas at our house as deliveries started coming in, almost everyday. I know my neighbors were wondering why the big brown truck was at our door daily. My daughter who loves to shop observed though that there weren’t as many deals after Christmas as there was on Black Friday which was the day after Thanksgiving. Even so, we managed to find some pretty good buys and having them delivered at our door was very convenient.

Although, as I mentioned before, I was apprehensive about spending $50 on shoes that you cant touch or try on prior to buying, we went ahead and took our chance anyway. We were not disappointed. My daughter loves her shoes and I love that the shoes were well made and sturdy enough despite the cool design.

My daughter has been wearing everyday since she got it. She also said that they are very comfortable and she’s been getting lots of compliments on them. That alone makes it worth it.

Fab Mary Janes

Speaking of shoes, my youngest daughter has another shoe dilemma. She usually only wears sneakers and it’s always a battle to get her to wear anything ‘girly’ (that means anything other than jeans, t-shirts and sneakers).

So when she came up to me last week and told me she wanted to buy some mary janes, I was a bit surprised. I told her to send me the link to the shoe she wants and this is what she sent me.

They are kind of cute don’t you think? They are $50 a pair which isn’t too outrageous but it is also more than what I usually spend on shoes. I had planned on buying some scanner software for my husband to use for his art work but she got me so excited about her wanting almost like girly shoes that I just couldn’t say no.

Searching for Comfortable Heels

It’s an oxymoron. Is there such a thing as comfortable heels? I have never found any. Whenever I’ve had to wear heels, it’s a given that a certain amount (most times A LOT) of discomfort comes with it. Well my daughter recently started working (her first real job) but it requires her to wear heels and stand on her feet for the whole shift.

The first couple of days she worked a full shift, she had on a four-inch heel pump that has a pretty skinny heel, not quite stilettos, but close. When I picked her up the end of her shift, she was dying! She couldn’t wait to take those shoes off! She was pitiful, actually. I could relate. I’ve have many days with uncomfortable shoes.

So today I took her to look for another pair. Something with a lower heel and more comfortable. We found something that would suit her for a little while but if she’s going to be spending a lot of time on her feet, then she needs something more comfortable and something that will not do any permanent damage to her feet or her stance.

One site that I found online are for Dr Weil shoes. I actually saw some pretty stylish shoes on there that I know my 17 year old teen will like. I liked several of them! They are a bit expensive though. Most of the shoes average about $200 but there are also quite a few that are on sale for more reasonable prices. But as you’ve probably heard, you get what you pay for.

Dr. Weil shoes are designed and integrated for easier movement and improved balance and posture. They are designed to align your feet and legs to avoid undue stress and fatigue. I for one would like to prove these claims. So I’m looking at the pairs on sale just to see if it really makes a difference. The great thing about this site is, they take payments via PayPal! That’s even better. No need for me to transfer funds to my personal account, I can just pay directly from my PayPal account! A follow up review will follow.
