There are sports fans and then there are sports fans. I am not a sports fanatic, but I do know of several people who are so into sports it’s not even funny. My sport is cooking and so I found a food fanatic community to join. For sports fans looking for a one stop shop to feed their obsession, Sportsviews is the place. Sportsviews is a social networking site for sports fans. Here you can meet like minded individuals to be friends with, share videos and photos with and you can even blog about sports or read what other people are writing about. If sports is in your blood, no matter which sport it is, then this is the place where you can talk, live, eat, sleep sports. The best thing about it? Joining the sportsviews community is absolutely FREE!

Sportsviews is taking fantasy gaming to another level, I think. The different sports blogs provide insights from fellow sports fans like you, not the canned and commercial commentaries from the sports media. And if you really feel strongly about any issue, event or player, you can blog about it yourself. You may be surprise to find out how many people had been thinking what you thought and just didn’t think of writing it down. This is where a strong and passionate sports community comes in.

Community members can view photos and videos contributed by other members. Maybe you have some football videos in your archives that you just can’t wait to discuss with others because your family have gotten tired of talking with you about them :) Well, here is a fresh audience for you, and I bet they won’t get tired of talking sports either.

What sports fan doesn’t love to speculate? Sports fans love to speculate on who’s going to win, who will get traded, who will retire, and so on. On Sportsviews, they have whats call Sportsviews dollars that you can use to play on free sports bets. They don’t really have any monetary value other than being the currency at Sportsviews. But it’s fun to see your net worth increase as you earn more Sportsviews dollars by getting your photos and videos rated, having blog posts, creating bets and best of all ways to earn sportsviews dollars, winning bets! After all don’t we all love to be right?

Golf Software

Posted By: JMom  //  Category: Sports

I don’t know too much about golf but my husband loves it. He loved playing it and he still watches it on TV regularly especially if Tiger is playing. The thing I do know about golfers is that they are preoccupied, or dare I say obsessed?, with their stats much like baseball enthusiasts.

NetHandicap Online has developed a golf tournament software that will calculate a player’s handicap and store it online. This is a web based application so there is no software to download and can be accessed anywhere there is internet access. The Golf Tournament Software is suitable for individuals or groups so if you have a club and would like to track and analyze your statistics, this could be the perfect software for you. NetHandicap can be your ‘club house’ online. You can organize tee times with other people, discuss anything related to golf on the forums or send private messages to your friends or members.

If you’re a golfer, make sure you check out NetHandicap Online.

Spanish Basketball Team Snafu

Spain Basketball TeamI’m sure it wasn’t intentional, but given the atmosphere of political correctness and racial issues, you’d think the PR people for the Spain’s Basketball team would have known better. The photo above where the team posed slanting their eyes with their hands has received a lot of flack as it should.

On the surface, it’s just plain rude to make fun of your host before you go to visit. On a deeper level, this way of thinking just perpetuates the stereotypes that continue to divide us. You would think that with the shrinking world we live in, we become more aware and more sensitive to the different cultures that we share this planet with. It’s just ignorant. And as this article (Spain’s ‘Slant-Eye’ Team Photo Stirs Ire) points out, if the Spanish Basketball Federation just admitted the mistake and apologized early on, a lot of the controversy regarding the issue would have been avoided. I don’t think it helped them at all to continue insisting that it was in harmless jest that the photo was taken. They just don’t see it and that is what makes it so abhorrent.
