Found Not Lost

I just found out Michael Chrichton best known as author of Jurassic Park has died unexpectedly from cancer at age 66. Lesser known is that he was also the creator of the popular TV series, ER.

Robert Pattinson who plays the vampire in the upcoming movie version of the novel Twilight, was immortalized at Planet Hollywood. Does this mean he’s immortal? So he won’t be needing any auto insurance quotations anytime soon, would he?

And if I have to tell you we have a new president, let me ask, “which rock did you just crawl out from?”

I was amazed to find this site today. The title of the post is Jenny Makes a Catfish Cake. I thought it would be a fish patty or something. I thought the photo on top was of the real catfish to make the cakes. Reading on, I was amazed to learn the catfish IS the cake! Go visit the site and look at the step by step process. Jenny is an artist if you ask me

I have to admit though, it’s not the most appetizing looking cake, but how awesome is it to make something sweet look slimy and fishy!

UPDATE (9-06-08) - I just found out Jenny can also make pig cakes!

Talk about frivolous abuse of the court system and a waste of everybody’s time, I just read about a case today, here in N.C., where a man is suing his dentist for $5,000 malpractice because his dentist didn’t give him his extracted tooth three years ago!

Apparently the guy collects body parts as part of his ancestral legacy. In his collection so far are “some of his own baby teeth, the lens of his father’s eye and his grandmother’s gall bladder.” So when he went to get his teeth pulled, he asked the dentist if he can have his teeth for his collection. For some reason or another, he didn’t get the teeth.

So three years later, now that he’s unemployed, he decided to exert his right to his body parts, knowing full well that the dentist does not have it anymore. He claims he is crusading for the right of all patients to bear teeth.
