I’m sure you’ve seen the growing number of Payday loans places in your neighborhood. If you don’t know what they are, you’ve probably never had a use for them before and that’s a good thing. Those who have heard of Payday and Loans were probably warned that they are not smart financial solutions. However, I think that there is a benefit for these places especially when you find yourself in a situation where you need some cash right now, and you don’t have any other means to get any cash. What a lot of financial advisers forget or choose to overlook is that not everyone has an emergency fund to dip into. Not everyone has a savings. There are a great number of people who literally are living from paycheck to paycheck. If even one cent goes awry, it throws their whole budget off.
We know, and they know it’s not the smartest way to handle your money, but some people just don’t have a choice.

I am sure I haven’t been the only one who has seen the ads for Lifelock, the service that claims to protect your credit security for a monthly fee. They are presently being sued by Experian, the credit reporting agency alleging that “credit laws do not provide for a third party to place fraud alerts on behalf of a consumer.”
Well, of course they would sue. It probably costs them money to have to comply with the measures that lifelock institutes on your behalf to make sure that no one steals your identity, your credit, or makes fraudulent charges using your name. In addition to placing fraud alerts for its members, lifelock also enables its members to opt-out of junk mail and limits the credit bureaus ability to sell your information.
If you ask me, protecting your credit should be something the credit reporting agencies take care of. But, if they did that, they would really start losing some money.

Every time you turn on the news lately, the state of the economy, particularly the real estate market, is being discussed if not bemoaned. A few years ago, people had lenders practically chasing them to give them home loans. Now a days, the picture is bleak. Those same borrowers who were extended mortgage loans that were on the verge of their ability to pay off, are now scrambling to refinance and those that can’t often end up losing their homes.
Refinance.com is a mortgage refinance broker that will help you find a loan that will fit your current situation. They have a quick and easy consultation process where they will find out what your needs are, analyze your finances and credit history then match you with the best loan option to fit your needs. They have branches nationwide, so check their website to see if they have services in your state. They probably do.
The website offers you a free instant home refinance quote, they have a refinance calculator online so you can estimate how much loan you can qualify for and can afford, and a variety of other tools to help you with your research. The best way to determine your refinancing options though is to request a consultation. You will get more detailed and accurate information and maybe some added information you didn’t consider previously.

Plastic, when well managed, can be a convenient tool. Mine are indispensable as I hardly carry cash on my anymore. Whether you’re here, in the UK or anywhere in the world, having a credit card is not only a convenience, it could be a life saver. In the UK, you can apply online for a credit card just as easily as you can here. They also have similar regulations and benefits like 24 hour customer service, online management, additional card holders, credit card protection and fraud protection. With the European currency being in much better shape than the dollar these days, their interest rates have got to be better than ours.

Experian, one of the major credit reporting agencies, has sued life lock claiming that it is fraudulent for a third party to place fraud alerts on behalf of a consumer. Experian claims that consumers can place fraud protection on their accounts without having to pay a third party for the service. What they don’t tell you is, that they make it very hard for consumers to accomplish that. Have you ever tried contacting any of the credit reporting agencies to fix inconsistencies in your credit report or even to simply ask a question? Exactly. You’d be lucky if you speak to a real person at all, and to file anything with them, it has to be in writing and must be sent via certified mail. It may even have to be notarized, but I’m just guessing on that.
The thing is with Lifelock, you can place a constant watcher over your credit. They will put a fraud alert on your credit account and will renew that alert every 90 days. The alert means that you will get notified everytime there is an activity involving your credit. When someone tries to acquire loan or credit cards, when someone inquires about your credit, or any kind of transaction requiring access to your credit history, you will get an alert of the activity. The credit reporting agencies don’t like this because, as you can see, it will create more work for them. They claim this will increase their cost for doing business. Of course, I can see that. The thing is, they also provide the same service as Lifelock and also for a fee. Of course they are not going to complain about the overhead cost their service causes them. It sounds more to me like ‘it’s ok if we do it, just so no one else does it’. What do you think?
