My husband enjoys his daily glass of merlot, but I can’t help but wonder how he doesn’t ever get tired of drinking the same wine and brand all the time! I for one like trying new wines and different kinds of wines from pinks to reds to clear. I’m thinking of maybe joining some wine clubs just to get a little more variety in our kitchen. I’m just afraid the hubs will get spoiled if he knows a steady supply of vino is just waiting to steam into our kitchen. lol!
We went to a Japanese market a couple of weeks ago looking for bento boxes. Instead, my daughter discovered these delicious Harvest cookies. She got a bag each of the sugar and chocolate flavors. They are very thin and delicate wafer cookies with a slightly nutty flavor. They also came attractively packaged individually so that if you couldn’t eat the whole pack at once, they wouldn’t go stale. They were also perfect for them to take with their lunch for school. We are definitely getting more of these next time we go to the Asian market.
I am a little behind posting in all my blogs what with being away last week visiting family in Los Angeles. There is a back log of recipes waiting to be posted on Cooked From the Heart, my food blog. I have book reviews and restaurant reviews that I better write up for this blog before I forget about them, and I have a couple of tutorials that I’ve been working on for a friend that I will also cross post on my blog about blogging.
I have lots of catching up to do, don’t I? Oh, and don’t forget that I still gotta earn some money too!
Anyway, here’s some tasty morsels for you. Click to check them out.

This was our latest find at our favorite store, Target. The girls and I love browsing Target’s chocolate section for goodies. These bars were on sale for three for $5 and we got one each of the flavors: Cinnamon & Blood Orange, White Blueberry and White Lemon and Lime. These are Chocolat Frey brand of Swiss chocolates and come in many flavors. So far we’ve only tasted these three and we already know we’ll be going back for more. The favorite of this bunch were the Blueberry and Lemon and Lime.
I don’t know what it is with warmer weather, but our appetite gets heightened every time the weather gets nicer. We start thinking of what to grow, what to cook, the ways to cook, and all that. We’re already looking forward to pulling out the grill and doing some outdoor cooking. The girls are already planning on end of school parties with their friends. Summer fever is surely starting to come on.
These cheesecake pops, would be perfect for a summer outdoor party. For one, they are beautiful and cute, and the best part, they are delicious and frozen! Yep, perfect snack for a hot afternoon, something sweet, cold and delicious.
My husband and daughters love hotdogs. We have a hotdog and hamburger night at least once a month and something like this Hot Dog Toaster would be a big hit at my house. No need to heat up the buns separately, you can heat them all up at the same time. This would be great for heating up left overs too especially since every time we have our hotdog/hamburger night we usually end up making enough to eat for a couple of meals afterwards.
