Win a Civic Hybrid

Posted By: JMom  //  Category: Cars, Contests

I filled up the car for $66 last Friday. That’s at the second gas station I went to because the first one was out of gas. Where I gassed up, they only had regular unleaded they were out of premium gas. What we once took for granted, having a full tank of gas whenever and wherever we needed to, may be coming to an end. Even when the gas pipe lines are finally back up to full function, the problem will remain that the cost of fuel will impact our budgets. Our large cars and SUVs may be a thing of the past soon. More and more people are opting for smaller cars or even hybrid cars partially powered with electricity.

Now if you are lucky enough to be in the Charter Cable service area, you can win a Honda Civic Hybrid worth over $24,000. With a hybrid car, not only will you save money on fuel, you will also be on your way to reducing your carbon footprint. In order to be eligible for the drawing, all you have to do is order one or more of Charter’s services. Charter Cable TV offers digital television, hgih speed internet access and digital telephone services. You can take any combination of the three and be automatically entered to the Civic Hybrid giveaway.

Opting for one of their services is not the only way to become eligible to win the hybrid though, you can also simply register and your name will be added to the drawing.

Car Reviews

You know how on Amazon if you buy a product or a book, buyers can post a review of the product? Well now you can do the same for cars. Whether you’re looking to buy a new car or to sell a used car, Auto123.com is a good place to start. For instance, one of the reason I like reading product reviews on Amazon is because they are written by real people like me. People who may not know all the specifics of a product but they know what works for them and what doesn’t. Well it’s the same at auto123.

I’m wishing for a new van to replace my six year old one. Everyone says go Toyota or Honda, but I’ve kind of gotten fond of my ol’ Chrysler minivan and was thinking of staying with the same make. However, after reading up on some of the reviews on the site, I’m starting to think otherwise. I’ll have to do more research, but I really like what I’ve read on the site so far.

Offer up your review of any car and you may even win a vacation! Enter the Drive, Rate and Fly contest by reviewing a car and you could win a car racing vacation or a vacation down south. Check out both the professional and consumer reviews to help you decide on your next car.

Power Steering

My husband just bought an old Ford truck that he’s planning on fixing up. He’s needed a truck to haul stuff around and he was glad to finally get one that he can afford. It needs some work but luckily he’s quite adept at fixing cars.

One of the things he needs to fix on this old truck, he tells me is the power steering rack so I have been tasked to look online for an owner’s manual for one and second, places where he can order parts. Powering Steering Pros is one place where he can get quality parts at wholesale prices which were previously only offered to dealers. If you know of anyone who is looking for a good quality steering box, this is the place to look. They offer free shipping on all orders and can take your orders over the phone where you can also get some of your questions answered. Visit PowerSteeringPros.com now.

Supercharge Me!

old carI have an old Pontiac Firebird that’s been sitting in the driveway for years and the only thing it’s been good for is to sit on. My husband has been saying he’s going to restore it but up until now he hadn’t gotten started.

So I’m sending him this link to Super Charger Pros to maybe get him psyched about getting my old car finally up and running again. For one, Super Charger Pros carry a pontiac supercharger that I know he would just go gaga about when he sees the great price. They provide a one year warranty for their parts and if you order a supercharger from the website, shipping is free! Pretty good deal, eh?

I would love to see my old car shiny and running again. Plus, our girls are getting close to driving age and we’ll be needing a car for them soon. I’d rather have them drive one of these old cars than these new cute cars that seem to be made of tin.

My Bug Will Race Ya

My girls and I love the Volkswagen Beetle, especially the convertible ones, but we never looked at them as the kind of cars that can go really fast. They are more ‘for looks’ only cars. But, I’m sure any car aficionado will tell us that it can go really fast if you want it to.

A Volkswagen turbo is within your fingertips by simply visiting a site like Turbochargerpros.com. They have all the parts necessary to upgrade your car and all parts in their inventory are have a full warranty. If you’re unsure, they have a learning center where you can learn about superchargers and turbochargers. Sounds fast already, doesn’t it?

Keep it Cool in Your Car

You know its summer at our house when the power breaker keeps blowing because we have too many appliances in addition to air conditioners plugged in. Apparently there is also something like a circuit breaker for the car in that they too can blow. We have a couple of older cars and the air conditioning compressor has, at one time or another given out on them.

If that ever happens to you, check out discount AC parts. They sell air conditioning compressors and other parts for your car’s AC unit. All their parts are sold with a one year warranty plus all orders over $50 are shipped for free and there are no core charges.
