Summer Cleaning
Yesterday, I finally did the much delayed spring cleaning. Boy, did the house need it! I thought I could save energy and time by ignoring the slow build up of dust on every knick knack in the house. Then I seriously contemplated just getting rid of all the knick knacks and bric-a-bracs; minimalist decorating is ‘in’ isn’t it? The less we have to dust, it must save energy, especially mine, I thought, but when it came time to toss things out, I realized some of that junk was actually something we need or have some kind of sentimental value and actual worth.
So, there was no choice but to bite the bullet. Take out the cleaning supplies, roll up my sleeves and get to it. It was a lot of work and it took all day, but it helps when you have the right tools like the Dirt Devil vacuum cleaner. It makes easy work of getting rid of all the dust bunnies that have accumulated in the corners, on top of cabinets, behind appliances and under furnitures. The Dirt Devil holds an Energy Star rating, so you can run it all day long and know that you aren’t expending tons of energy because having the energy star rating means that the appliance is designed to be energy efficient and optimized to function at the top level without using up a lot of electricity.
At the end of the day, I’ve spent a little electricity, lots of cleaning supplies and lots of elbow grease, but the house is sparkling! I couldn’t help but sit back and enjoy just looking at my handiwork. Oh, excuse me, our handiwork

If I’ve ever had any doubt about the individuality of children, all I have to do is look within the confines of my own house. We are a family of five and we all have our own quirks and traits that are totally different from each other. When I hear people say, “Oh, but they were raised in the same house, how did that happen?” I know how it happens. No matter how you try to raise all your children in the same manner, they will always have their own individual habits and traits that make them unique.
My husband and daughters love hotdogs. We have a hotdog and hamburger night at least once a month and something like this
