Scents stimulate our memories like no other. An aroma can transport us to another time and place. Fragrances create ambiance. A stench can repel the most ardent of our admirers. This oft ignored sense of smell can be a powerful thing.

That’s why I was glad when I received this box of candles from the Febreze Home Collection.

Nothing creates a mood better than a scent. Do you remember walking into to the house as a kid and the smell of something baking embraces you? How about the smell of the Christmas tree in December? Smells immediately create a mood and that’s exactly what these Febreze Wooden Wick Candles do. That’s why I just love scented candles. Even when your house may not be perfect, a good scent will make it the most homey place on earth.

My daughters are always excited to try new stuff so we lit one of the candles immediately. The information on the candles said that “The new Febreze Wooden Wick Candle brings the ambiance and sound of a crackling fire indoors.” Well my youngest daughter just had to hear the sound of crackling fire! She had her ear so close to the candle, I was afraid she would burn her hair! Well she didn’t and she said, “you can sort of hear it.” Well the sound doesn’t really matter much to me. What I wanted to see was how it smelled and of course it didn’t disappoint. Just like other Febreze products which we’ve used before, these Wooden Wick Candles brought about just enough perfume without being overpowering. It made the living room smell so good that you just want to sit there and be enveloped in all that goodness. But then candles always fascinated my daughters. They just sat there and stared at the flame like they were waiting for something to happen. They were mesmerized.

And again, NO they are not 5 year olds. They are teenagers! They actually asked if they could have a candle each for their rooms. I said NO. We all have to share. LOL!
