MY THOUGHTS
It’s been a few months since I read this book and I am just now getting around to posting about it. Sorry, I have been worrying about other menial stuff like my thinning hair and waning energy level. Which, I find out may be hormonal or due to carnitine deficiency. But enough about me, let’s get back to the book.

I read this book early this year, when it was still cold and I had plenty of time indoors to read. I read several books of this genre during that time, but it is only now that I am revisiting them again. This book, is actually one that I wouldn’t mind re-reading. I’m thumbing through it again now! Stopping at the same passages that captivated me the first time around.

As the short synopsis above says, Callie and Trevylan were childhood sweethearts. Because of their social status, they were not allowed to be together. Her father separated them. Years later, the still unmarried Callie is still in the same town when Trevylan returns from his exile to be with his ailing mother. Of course, they see each other again and of course the attraction between them is still there. Actually, it’s even more intense now that they are both older. The love scenes in the book were definitely hot, but the plot and the narration of the the story is also such that you can’t put it down. It makes you want to keep reading. My favorite part is that you can ‘feel’ what the characters are going through. An overall great read!
