I need to cut down on coffee. I could drink coffee from the time I wake up to the time I go to bed. I like my coffee black and I like it strong. And because of that, I usually try to stop drinking coffee by noon. Just don’t tempt me late in the afternoon because I don’t have very strong will power and will surely succumb.
I ran across these cool looking espresso machines by Nespresso the other day. Now our coffee/espresso/cappuccino machine is on its last leg and I don’t want us caught in between machines so we’ve been shopping for our next brewer. I really liked the looks of this red machine. The only thing that I am hesitant about is that when you buy these machines, I think you also have to use the coffee capsules that are made to work with them. Now they are cute and all, but they are not exactly the kind of thing that you can pick up at the grocery store at 9 pm on a Saturday night when you run out of coffee. Having to order coffee ahead of time would be just wishing too much for a disorganized person like me.
Which reminds me, I have to call our insurance carrier!

Hello,
Just wanted to let you know that my husband and I just bought one of these machines. Well actually we just bought the slimmer version but we really like the coffee it makes. Much better than any of the local coffee houses, and cheaper even though the pods cost between $0.55 and $0.62 each. When you make your first purchase of coffee pods (which can only be purchased through their website or boutiques) they have a service you can sign up for that will alert you (via email) when they think you are going to run low based on how much you use and how often you buy. So even if you are disorganized they have a way to help you out.
We looked for a really long time for a new espresso machine and ultimately chose this one because the machine was relatively inexpensive and it does make really good coffee. You also can have multiple varieties on hand for guests with varying tastes. I am not affiliated with anyone that sells these machines, just letting you know why we chose ours.
Hopefully this helped and good luck finding your perfect machine.
Oh and the capsules can be recycled and the coffee grounds composted if you just cut them open and empty the coffee out if that is a concern for you. The tops are just aluminum foil and are easily opened.

Laura, thanks for the input! I will definitely keep Nespresso on top of my list now. You’re right, their prices are really good compared to other brands and the styles are nice too.
