Reporter Annabelle Armstrong will go to any lengths to deliver a story, even track down Quinton Valtrez, a man she believes is a coldhearted assassin. Quinton has fought his demonic powers since he was a child. Now using his gifts for the good of national security, he can’t let himself be distracted by the beautiful, determined Annabelle. A wicked enemy is out for vengeance, a demon who wants to draw Quinton into a life of pure evil and is willing to use Annabelle as bait. To save her, Quinton must achieve the near impossible: tame the sinister force that is both his inheritance and his curse before it claims him forever.

My Thoughts
Dark Hunger is the second book in the Demonborn series and although I hate starting a series in the middle, this book actually can stand alone. Even so, I still want to read book 1, Insatiable Desire. If it’s as hot as this one was, I’m sure I’m going to enjoy reading it as I did with Dark Hunger.

As the summary hinted at above, Quinton has supernatural powers. See he is part demon and part angel. He has chosen to use his demon powers for a good cause. That is why he works as an assassin for a secret government unit. Working as an assassin though, brings him the attention of Annabelle Armstrong, a journalist who wants to expose his illicit activities. As in any good romance, neither one expected to become attracted to the other. Because of their resistance, their attraction to each other seems to be greater. As a reader, you’re just itching for these two to come together already! You are drawn into their attraction. You are sucked into the suspense and thrill of the chase as the story unfolds, layer by layer. I kept turning the pages, eager to see what happens next and when I finally reached the end, I was left panting for more. The sex scenes were not overly done but are hot enough to leave you breathless.

That, I’m sure is largely due to the story telling abilities of the author. Now I want to read all the succeeding books in this series.

Now if you’d like to read this book too, you can win a free copy here, courtesy of Hachette Books. I have five copies to giveaway!
