You’ve probably seen this before, it’s been going around for a while but I thought it is still worth sharing because this kid is just incredible.
His name is Steven Wiltshire and he is called a living camera. His brain records everything he sees and he can render what he has seen in minute detail as seen in the videos of his creations. For his panoramic works, he is flown over a city in a helicopter where he watches the view stretch before him. His memory is so good that he records architectural details, ornaments, placement of people and cars on the streets; if a tv stands on a street corner, he will record that too. Bushes, trees, bridges, curves and arches are all captured. Just look at the video. The one below is of the city of Rome, Italy.
From the DVisible Magazine article:
According to an article posted on autism.org by Stephen M. Edelson, Ph.D. in 1995, Autistic Savant refers to individuals with autism who possess extraordinary skills not exhibited by most persons. It is estimated that only 10% of those with autism have savant abilities, whereas those without autism who have savant abilities in 1%.
Stephen Wiltshire was diagnosed as an autistic savant since age 5 and his incredible talent has gained him fame and fortune. His work sells for thousands of dollars and he has been featured in dozens of books, articles and shows.
