In Plain Sight

Have you ever heard the phrase ‘hiding in plain sight?’ They do say that the best place to hind is where it is least expected. And who would expect something in plain sight to be hidden? That’s sort of the premise of USA Network’s new original series In Plain Sight which starts tonight!

Just reading the cast of characters and the premise of the new series, I am already intrigued especially as it relates to mother and daughters relationships, something very close to my heart, having been one of three sisters and now raising my own three daughters. Yeah, so mother daughter relationships, sibling rivalry and all the intricacies involved in these relationships is something I can relate to quite well and that’s one of the side plots of this new series, In Plain Sight.

The main premise of the series is about the older sister who is actually an agent for the witness protection program, responsible for protecting and hiding people, but her mother and sister think she has a boring courier job. This suits her fine as she doesn’t want them asking too many questions and worrying about her. Lesley Ann Warren, who can play air-headed characters a little too convincingly plays the unconventional mother and the ditzy and spoiled little sister is played by Nichole Hiltz. The series already sounds interesting. I’ll definitely be checking this out tonight, make sure you do too.

Vinegar Hill

I just happened to turn the TV on the other night and saw a very interesting moving called Vinegar Hill. While watching the movie, I kept thinking, this is really interesting and vaguely familiar!

So during commercial, I went to the bookcase for a quick peruse, and guess what, I have the book! I had read it a few years ago, but I’ll be darned if I could have given you a synopsis then. I had to read the back cover to see what it was about, and still the full story wouldn’t come back to me, so I returned to the TV to finish the movie.

I can’t believe my memory has gotten this bad that I would completely forget a story I’ve read. But the good thing about it is, now I have another new book to read! :D
