Found Not Lost

I’ve mentioned before how I judge books by their cover. When I’m browsing the bookstore and see a cover that just begs for my attention, the next thing I do is usually to go to the first page and read the first line. I love books that can get me hooked right from the start. For instance, the most famous first line “it was the best of times, it was the best of times” I’m sure you’ve heard of that one.

Some of the most favorite first lines of your favorite books have been compiled in a list, but before you take a peek there, maybe you’d like to test your knowledge first by taking this quiz.

This was our latest find at our favorite store, Target. The girls and I love browsing Target’s chocolate section for goodies. These bars were on sale for three for $5 and we got one each of the flavors: Cinnamon & Blood Orange, White Blueberry and White Lemon and Lime. These are Chocolat Frey brand of Swiss chocolates and come in many flavors. So far we’ve only tasted these three and we already know we’ll be going back for more. The favorite of this bunch were the Blueberry and Lemon and Lime.

How do you clean the mini blinds in your home? Do you take them down from the windows, take them outside, hang them then power wash them with the garden hose? OR Do you take them down, put them in a tub full of soapy water, scrub them down then hang them to dry before putting them up on the windows again?

Those are the tried and true methods of cleaning them especially if, like me, you’ve procrastinated about cleaning them up and they’ve started to look grungy. The best way to clean them is by maintaining them and not let the grease and dust build up, I think. If you keep them dusted and clean, you won’t have to do the inevitable washing required to keep them looking like the day you put them up.

My cousin from Japan was here the last few days for a visit, so we decided to show her around and also show her a good time. When I arrived last weekend, my sister was cleaning up her house and getting her guest room ready. She was also dusting off the patio furniture for the cook out she was going to have to welcome our cousin.
