Plastic, when well managed, can be a convenient tool. Mine are indispensable as I hardly carry cash on my anymore. Whether you’re here, in the UK or anywhere in the world, having a credit card is not only a convenience, it could be a life saver. In the UK, you can apply online for a credit card just as easily as you can here. They also have similar regulations and benefits like 24 hour customer service, online management, additional card holders, credit card protection and fraud protection. With the European currency being in much better shape than the dollar these days, their interest rates have got to be better than ours.

According to Dale Carnegie’s How to Win Friends and Influence People, you can get people to like you in the following ways:

1. Become genuinely interested in other people.
2. Smile.
3. Remember that a person’s name is to that person the sweetest and most important sound in any language.
4. Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves.
5. Talk in terms of the other person’s interests.
6. Make the other person feel important - and do it sincerely.

There are a couple of things here that I still need to work on, but I do smile a lot How about you? have you got all the points down? Are you likeable?

Kettering University in Michigan is known for undergraduate programs in engineering, math, science and business. If campus life be based on their recruiting videos, it seems like Kettering would be a fun and academically intense school to attend. Just check out their recruiting videos to see how well they can integrate fun with the serious stuff. This one is my favorite.
