Health Insurance for You

You would think that living in one of the largest, first world countries in the world that health insurance should be down on our list of worries, but it’s not. There are millions of people in this country who do not have health insurance due to one circumstance or another.

If you are one of those millions without insurance, People’s Health Insurance is one place where you can find personal health insurance. Their knowledgeable representatives provide you rates on the various insurance companies and can answer some of your questions. They are available 24/7, and their services are completely free. For instance if you are in the market for Illinois dental insurance, their representatives can walk you through the details regarding “discounted fee schedules” and “usual and customary rates”. What procedures are covered, which ones are not, and how much you have to pay out of pocket are all pertinent questions that should be answered before you sign up for any insurance.

Entrecard

I just signed up for Entrecard today. Notice the square widget on the sidebar that says ‘Drop Yours’ at the bottom? It’s like having a little silver tray on your counter where everyone who visits your blog who is signed up on Entrecard can drop their e-card. Sort of like the calling cards of old. I love it!

I’ve gotten addicted to it already! I can’t believe how much time I spent there today. Hopefully, my popularity won’t last long. See, you can earn points by visiting other blogs and dropping your card and when they drop their card at your site, you earn points from that too. Another way to earn points is to sell advertisements on your site. The currency at Entrecard is entrepoints (ec). People pay you in ec and you put up their ads on you site, just like the ad that you see on mine now. See, I got busy today because I kept getting requests for ads. Not that people are just dying to get their site advertised on here, mind you.

When you first sign up for Entrecard, the cost to put an ad on your site starts out really low, so it’s very affordable for other newbies to be able to advertise on your site. As you have more people leaving their cards and you leave more cards on other sites, your points rise as does the value of advertising on your site. Ergo, the longer you stay active on Entrecard, the more valuable your site becomes; which will also mean you’ll have more points to use to advertise in other blogs. Pretty good, huh?

Try out Entrecard and see if you get hooked too.

Home Away from Home

Travelling for work may seem glamorous; but talk to anyone who actually does this for a living and they will tell you how far from glamorous it really is. Hotels are ok once in a while, but sometimes you just want to be comfortable like you’re at home. Where, if you feel like brewing yourself a cup of tea, you don’t have to wait for room service to bring it.

Luckily, executive housing rentals are now available for business people who travel, especially those who need to stay someplace for longer than a week but for less than what most leases would allow. With corporate housing you can have all the convenience of having your own home away from home. Fully furnished apartments come with kitchens where you can prepare your own meals, fitness areas to work out and unwind, washers and driers, and business tools such as high speed internet and faxing. It doesn’t sound glamorous, true. But the reality is, you just want someplace convenient with all the things you are used to at home.

Make sure you bookmark National Corporate Housing for the next time you have to travel far from home.

Maximum Ride Book #3:

In the second book, we meet up with the talking dog. In this third book, we see more of Fang the blogger. While I have been enjoying the series, I am really amused by the fact that bloggers are going to save the world in the third book.  :)

Some mysteries are revealed in this third book, like who Max’s real parents are.

The saving the world ending is a little lame, but for teen fiction, I think it’s good enough. It keeps you entertained and wanting more.

If you are interested, the author, James Patterson has a blog too: James Patterson’s Amazon Blog

If you’d like to see Fang’s blog, visit: http://maximumride.blogspot.com

Wood Preserving

We are a consumer driven society and we will always consume a good deal from our environment. While many would like the consumption of natural resources to stop, we all know it is impractical. So it is up to individuals and businesses to conduct themselves responsibly in order to sustain our resources for future generations.

Pacific Wood Preserving is a leading supplier of treated wood products in the western U.S. How does treated wood products help the environment? When products last longer because they are made from pressure treated wood, the less likely that they will have to be replaced as often. For example, the wooden decks most of us have in our backyard. If treated correctly and maintained, they can last as long as 15 to 20 years. However, left untreated, you’d be replacing them within 5 years if that.
