Books
We didn’t do much on Sunday. It was a relaxing day though a bit windy. I had to stick my head out the back door to see what was going on because it sounded like the ocean was right outside our door. The wind was blowing so hard that the trees were swaying and moaning from the pressure. The lights started flickering so I told the girls to get their flashlights and have it nearby in case the power goes out. Luckily, it stayed on and we had a quiet Sunday.
I finally got started reading the Uglies by Scott Westerfield
. Jade has been telling me how good the series is but I had been caught up with the vampire novels and haven’t had time to pick this up. I’ll let you know soon how Uglies is.

Isn’t this just the coolest crock you’ve ever seen? This is a Butter Bell butter crock from Vat19, which is supposed to keep your butter at room temperature for up to 30 days.
On weekends, part of my morning ritual is to take out the butter as I get my first cup of coffee. This way, by the time we are ready for breakfast, the butter is soft and spreadable. On weekdays though, when none of us have the time to let butter get soft, we usually end up scraping the hard stick of butter to put on our toast. This little gadget will save all that hassle. It’s attractive, it can sit on your table, and it will ensure you always have soft, spreadable butter anytime you need it!

shopping
So what did we consume over the weekend? Saturday, Asi had driving lessons in the morning and we went to go pick her up at 11. By this time, we were all hungry so we decided to stop for lunch. They wanted to go to China Buffet. My husband is not a big fan of buffets, so when he’s not with us, we take advantage and go to buffets. Guess what, he wasn’t with us ’cause he was working!
After lunch, we went shopping as Jade needed new jeans. That girl grows too fast! We just bought her jeans at Christmas! Anyway, we decided to check out Dots, a new clothing store that just opened nearby. They had a lot of cute stuff at very cheap prices, but she didn’t like their jeans and they weren’t long enough for her, she said. She wanted to go to Charlotte Russe. That’s her favorite store.
But since Joan’s Craft Store was in the same shopping center as Dots, Asi and the Clone wanted to go in and get materials for their projects. The Clone treated her big sister to some material since Asi was broke. Well, she’s almost perpetually broke
We stopped at Costco to get something to cook for dinner, then went home. We were tired!
