Boarding School for Underachievers

On their website, Don Saffer, the headmaster quotes UCLA Men’s Basketball Coach John Wooden when he defined success as “peace of mind which comes from knowing you did you best and become the best that you are capable of becoming.” That is a great quote to live by especially for young people.

I have a daughter who would probably benefit from a place like Fenster School, a boarding school for teens who are not fulfilling their full academic potential and may benefit from a nurturing and structured environment. Unfortunately, the school is located in Arizona; located on 150 acres at the foot of the beautiful Santa Catalina Mountains, it’s an idyllic setting that would benefit any student needing additional help to succeed.

How Filipino am I?

How many stereotypes can one fall into before one can claim to belong to a group? Quite a few, apparently according to this fun little quiz devised by some of my blogging friends about Filipinoness.

While I was surfing last night, I also happen to stumble across a cool video on YouTube which featured a very nationalistic song and some iconic Filipino images. Is it another coincidence do you think?

It’s a meme, but it was fun nonetheless. Check out my answers on my main blog, Amoores.

Coincidences or Fate?

I just love coincidences! They just never cease to amaze me and amuse me. The power went out here at the office earlier so while we were sitting in the dark twiddling our thumbs, one of the ladies made an announcement that if we wanted to do something until the power comes back on, we can go to the basement for a free yoga class. She teaches yoga on the side. So I went and I’m glad I did, it was very relaxing.

I just got back to my desk. So I thought, before I start working I’ll check if there are any paid opps available for me. Guess what the first one that I came across was? Something about yoga! Read the next post. :)

Designer Handbags

I love handbags! I carry two of them everyday. I can’t afford designer handbags though, so I rely on my good sisters to gift me with one every once in a while.

For my sisters and friends who can afford designer handbags, here is a site where you can get luxury handbags and leather accessories that are designed with the elegance that typifies European style. These chic handbags have just recently become available in the United States and they will surely take the American market by storm also. Bolzano is currently available in Europe, Asia, Central and South America.

If you love purses, browse through their line of handbags and start drooling. They have so many elegant styles that it is hard to choose, but so easy to dream! To dream of owning at least one of them if not all.
