Go ahead, ask!

Haven’t you wondered what readers of your blog think about certain things? Now you can ask them directly using polls that you create yourself. If you have teens, you would be familiar with MySpace. In my pre-computer days, we used to have little hand made books that we used to poll the likes and dislikes of our friends, but really the bottom line was we wented to know which boy liked us. Now, kids have MySpace and FaceBook and a bunch of other networking sites where they ask questions from Favorites to unmentionables. Now you can create easy myspace polls for free!

EasyPoll makes it easy to create your own customized survey or polls that you can post right on your website.

Shelfari

Do you like books? I don’t know if you’ve heard of Shelfari, but it is where you can share your bookshelf with other book lovers. You can check out my shelf and see what I’ve got on mine so far.

The books that I have on there, are the books I’ve been sleeping with lately. Those are the ones stacked around and above my bed :) I haven’t even been to the bookshelf yet. I don’t think I will get to the thousands though like some of the people on Shelfari. I do love my books and I have a hard time parting with them. If you have a Shelfari account, make sure you add me on your friends list so I can see what you’re reading too. I’ve found some of the best books by looking at what other people are reading and find interesting.

Money Stuff

Our vehicles play an important role in the way we live our life. Not counting it as a status symbol, our car is vital to us being able to make a living. We have to have one, in other words. Unless you can afford to pay for your vehicle in cash, which is what most financial gurus advice, you should try to find the best financing for your car, which, next to your home is probably the next biggest purchase you make. That’s why a broker can be a good resource. They have access to a number of financing options and you will be able choose the loan that best fits your car refinance needs, be it a lower finance rate or reduced monthly payments or both.

More on Italy

The world we live and work in becomes more global everyday. (And it just so happens I’m watching Late Show with Craig Ferguson and he’s talking about his accent - not related to what I’m saying, really, I just found it interesting) As I was saying, the business world is getting smaller or bigger, depending on how you look at it. Whereas it used to be that only the major corporations were the only ones with foreign offices, it is now becoming commonplace for medium to small businesses to have some type of interaction with a foreign country.

Places that train executives on cultural differences and languages have surged in the past few years. Places like ELTlearn.com are offering Italian language training to business executives who require an intensive language course that is specifically tailored for the type of business they are in. As you know, various businesses have their own jargon specific to their industry. A trainer will be assigned to not only customize your lessons to fit the industry you work in, they will also accommodate the schedule to fit yours. They commit to train you in any language that you need to succeed in your business.

So Sad…

I was just watching The Late Show with David Letterman. His guest was the lady who hosts Big Brother (sorry can’t remember her name now - I think it’s Julie?). Anyway, they were talking about someone who got thrown out of some award show for heckling the winners.

The name sounded familiar, Sean Young, but I just couldn’t quite remember who it was. I was thinking Sean Penn, but he’s had his act together for a while now and has gotten quite respectable so I didn’t think that could have been him. So I searched for Sean Young on the internet and it finally dawned on me who she was. What a shame. I really did like her in that movie she did with Kevin Costner. I still remember going to see that movie. Aside from that one though, I hadn’t seen her star in many more movies. I think she’s had it rough and hadn’t handled it well either.

It’s really sad…. and too bad.
